In
its 91 year history, the Italian Welfare League has
gone from helping Italian immigrants on the New York
piers find jobs and housing to its present role:
helping children of Italian American descent who
are ill or have suffered an emotional trauma. We
call these youngsters, “I Nostri Bambini,” and
have adopted them into our family of caring members
and supporters.
Traditionally,
our “Autumn in New York 25th Luncheon,” helps to accomplish this. Last year, it was held at the St. Regis Hotel on October
25th. Each successive year, the luncheon’s
proceeds have grown due to the wonderful generosity
of individuals and companies. We
are asking your support as a sponsor and hope you
will find it in your heart to contribute to this
cause.
Sponsorship
categories ranging from $10,000 (Benefactor) to $1000
(Booster) include luncheon tickets, a premier journal
page and will be noted in the event’s promotion. Your
support is invaluable in helping to put smiles on
the faces of those who are the littlest and most
vulnerable among us, as is obvious in the attached
photos of former recipients.
*New beginnings at the League: 35 Under 35
The Board of the Italian
Welfare League offers a
junior membership fee
for anyone under the age of
35 years old for just $35 a year. The junior membership
fee, "35 under 35,"
was established to
attract young people who
wish to become members
of the League and to participate
in volunteer activities.
The Board believes
young adult involvement is key to the growth of
the League.
Please help spread the
word to young people at home, in
school and on the job as well.
