Nicole Gets a Specialized Transport Chair

Nicole is a sixteen-year-old with a history of cerebral palsy and a severe seizure disorder.

Last year, Nicole underwent a hemispherectomy surgery for seizure control followed by a shunt revision. Both surgeries were successful, however after the surgery Nicole was left with increased right sided weakness, poor balance, a limited ability to walk with support, and decreased endurance for motor skills.

The IWL bought a specialized transport chair to help Nicole to participate in school, family gatherings and social events.
