Gilded Age Walking Tour

THIS EVENT SOLD OUT.

On Saturday, May 2 the Italian Welfare League hosted a Tour of The Gilded Age Mansions of New York. The tour offered a fascinating look into the architectural grandeur and the history of the late 19th century, featuring the opulent residences of New York's prominent families of that era.

Participants had the opportunity to explore the history behind these iconic structures, learn about the families who built them, their historical secrets and the cultural impact of the era. The tour covered Landmarks and highlighted the intricate designs and stories that defined this period of American history.

The tour concluded with a lunch of assorted panini, desserts, soft drinks and coffee at 'Tarallucci e Vino'  in the garden terrace of the Cooper Hewitt Museum.
